- Due to limited space in most of modern compact sized cars, many customers refuse to occupy the vehicle´s trunk with projecting and excessive subwoofer enclosures. However, they wish to have more bass from the car´s audio system. This was one of the reasons to develop a space saving subwoofer fitting the spare wheel recess. The new GZCS series subwoofer enclosure comes with a down firing flat 25 cm / 10” paper cone driver in a passive box as well as in an active version that includes a powerful amplifier with high- and low-level inputs. Specially shaped, the internal volume of the extremely flat box with about 15 liters / 0.52 cu ft remains sufficiently sized to provide a deep and substantial bass reproduction, fulfilling demands of sophisticated customers.
- The unique down firing principle of the GZCS 10SUB provides not only extended low frequency reproduction but makes it unnecessary to cut out nor to change the floor mat or plate of the trunk in any way compared to most of the competitor subwoofer solutions on the market. This makes the installation very simply, invisible and revertible in case of leasing vehicles.
- The sealed wooden enclosure with black carpet all around and a white logo stitch on top is just 12 cm / 4.7” high, offers flat rubber stands and can be fixed through the centered port. The 2x 2 Ohm subwoofer is capable of handling up to 300 Watt max. and matches perfectly the 300 Watt amplifier of the active version that includes a low pass filter with a range of 30 to 120 Hz.
